Violent Incident Response Training – September 12, 2019

Date: Thursday September 12, 2019
Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Location: ISU Research Park
1805 Collaboration Place | Ames, IA 50010

Event Details:

Society has trained us to react to fires, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods and other types of disasters, so it’s imperative we prepare ourselves for all types of incidents, especially in our workplaces. Please join us as we hear from ISU Police about their Violent Incident Response Training and what to do in an active shooter situation.

The goal of this training is to begin your mental preparation of recognizing, assessing, and responding to threats against you. Avoid, Deny, Defend is being taught around the country to law enforcement, college campuses, K-12 schools, private businesses, and other social organizations who realize they need education on this topic.

Please be aware that our Lunch and Learn’s are typically only an hour over lunch time, but due to the desire to have a quality training, this event will be two hours long. We hope the end of the work day is easier for people to get away from work to attend.
