FUEL’s Community Outreach and Partnerships Committee is putting together a volunteer group for this event. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please sign up through Ames Pridfest’s link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe2nOwSHMYcIZ1NUwUFR-jsa4W_ZNdn3ByixHJ5iJ9ywsmPnw/viewform. When you fill out the form, enter “FUEL Story County” for the organization you’re volunteering with and check “Absolutely” for being scheduled with other people from that organization. We are trying to gather a larger group to help with the Kids Activities from 3-5 pm. If you’re available at that time, please sign up! However, you’re welcome to sign up whenever works best in your schedule.

Join Ames Pride for the annual celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community! Presented in partnership with Ames Public Library, Collegiate United Methodist Church and Wesley Foundation and Measure, Ames Pridefest will feature live entertainment, educational programming at the library and over 50 vendors. Check out www.AmesPride.org for all of the details.

Ames Pride was established out of a need to build community for LGBTQIA+ people in Ames, Iowa State University and the surrounding area. They are committed to building relationships within the community and creating bridges with other groups in the Ames area. They are committed to maintaining a community that recognizes and values the inherent worth and dignity of every person; that fosters mutual respect among its directors and volunteers; that encourages each individual to reach their own potential; and that builds momentum for the equitable treatment of people.
